About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate Building Surveyor to join our Building Surveying Team at Playle & Partners LLP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities and output of the team, reporting directly to the Partners of the practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the successful growth and delivery of the Building Surveying team
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities and output of the team
  • Report directly to the Partners of the practice on team performance, new opportunities, and winning submissions
  • Grow the Building Surveying Team and work with new clients on interesting projects
  • Deliver sustainable construction projects in both New Build and Retrofit format
  • Undertake contract administration and Employer's Agent duties for a variety of projects in different sectors
  • Experience in building condition surveys, measured surveys, defect analysis, and preparation of formal reports
  • Submission of building regulations and planning applications, reviewing staff performance
  • Experience of aids and adaptations, party wall matters, DDA audits, AutoCAD proficient, and CDM regulations
Requirements
  • Full clean driving license and use of their own, road-legal vehicle
  • Capable of working on their own initiative and to personally undertake and run projects
  • Experience in the construction industry, preferably in a consultancy role
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, specification writing, and contract administration
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
