Job Title: Engineering Team Leader

Imperial Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join a national manufacturer in Middlesbrough.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to lead our engineering team and take an active part in maintaining, developing, and improving plant machinery and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General maintenance duties, including promptly repairing breakdowns and installing new equipment.
  • Supervise other shift engineers and machine minders, ensuring daily engineering tasks are completed and all aspects of Health & Safety and Quality Standards are achieved.
  • Liaise with the Engineering Supervisor and deputise in their absence, acting as a point of contact to the site management team, Senior Engineering Manager, and Manufacturing Director.
  • Perform daily duties, including electrical/electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, installations, fault finding, inspections, and servicing.
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in engineering maintenance and supervision.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of Health & Safety and Quality Standards.

They will be able to work effectively in a team environment, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
