We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Bristol City Council.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a range of complex construction projects, including major refurbishments and cyclical maintenance programs. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of these projects, including cost planning, tendering, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the financial aspects of construction projects, including cost planning, tendering, and contract administration.
  • Develop and maintain cost plans, financial reports, and forecasting models.
  • Prepare and submit final accounts, including negotiations and settlements.
  • Monitor and report on project costs, including on-site valuations and contract accounts.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of an HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Experience in contract administration, including industry-standard forms of contract.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
