About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Utilities and Facilities (U&F) team at our Ware manufacturing site. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for developing plant, equipment, and process understanding across the site, working closely with engineers, technicians, contractors, suppliers, and consultants to deliver a range of activities relating to defined processes/systems/equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the engineering team engaged in the development and delivery of projects or provision of services within the function or area to meet the needs of the business.
  • Deliver projects and technical solutions to agreed standards, using established controls, and contribute to the processes of governance.
  • Generate project proposals, designs, and plans that are technically sound and provide optimum investment value.
  • Own, represent, and assist in the development of a specific area of expertise for the site (and the wider Pharmaceutical Supply Chain - PSC - function).
  • Be trained in and have a solid understanding of associated SOPs and SWIs related to the role (and area of specialism).
About You

This role would suit a motivated individual with strong engineering experience gained from working in a complex GMP environment. As a professional engineer (Chartered or working towards chartered status), you will have a strong track-record of delivery in engineering technical or management positions. You will be focused on providing solutions, continuous improvement, and ideally have experience acquired from working in a highly regulated manufacturing-based industry.

About Ware Manufacturing Site

The Ware site is a unique position in our network, responsible for launching the company's pipeline of new medicines in oral and solid dose forms, as well as operating a high-volume commercial production for respiratory devices. We have a highly-motivated and capable team of circa 1,500 people working at the site.

Basic Qualifications
  • Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer (or working towards achieving Chartered Status)
  • Engineering degree
  • Utilities and facilities experience (including Building Services) within an engineering / manufacturing context (from a highly regulated industry like the Pharmaceutical industry)
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP)
