Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with complex needs, including Social Emotional and Mental Health, Autism, and challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to children with complex needs, including those with Autism and challenging behaviour.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement behaviour interventions.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  • Support children with their academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with complex needs, including Autism and challenging behaviour.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Clear Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce/ Child and Adult Workforce) registered to the Update Service.
