We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Station Announcer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely information to our customers, ensuring a smooth and efficient train service.
Main Responsibilities- Work closely with the station team to minimize delays to trains and ensure effective communication with customers.
- Monitor the train service at the station, identifying planned and potential alterations to the service.
- Operate the Station Information Screens, ensuring customer information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Disseminate time-critical information to customers, including train service details and security information.
- Dispatch trains on an ad-hoc basis, ensuring a safe and efficient service.
- Monitor CCTV to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Well-organized and able to work in a fast-paced, pressurized environment.
- Customer-focused and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Proactive and able to work independently, with a strong attention to detail.
- Responsible and reliable, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Our station is a transport hub with a range of local bus routes and train services operating. Facilities at the station include retail outlets and mess facilities.
Working PatternThe working pattern is shift work, rotating through a roster pattern of early, late, and night shifts, as well as weekend and bank holiday working.
