Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Treloar School & College. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with physical disabilities, helping them to achieve their full potential and reach their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with physical disabilities in a residential setting, educational learning, and life skills.
  • Support the teaching team in delivering lessons and activities, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help students with personal care, mobility, and communication needs.
  • Assist with the preparation and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in a relevant subject or willingness to work towards this.
  • Good level of general education, including English and Maths at grade C/Level 2 or above (or equivalent).
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and under pressure.
