Job Title: Children's Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Apollo Home Healthcare Ltd. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality care and support to a teenage boy with complex care needs in his family home.

About the Role

This is a part-time night shift position, working 10pm - 7:30am or 10pm - 8am, 2-3 shifts per week. You will be responsible for providing 1:1 care and support to our service user, promoting a restful environment and ensuring his needs are met in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to our service user, including medication administration and clinical interventions.
  • Offer comfort and reassurance when needed, promoting a restful environment and close supervision and observations.
  • Carry out careful repositioning when needed and ensure that our service user's needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with our care team to provide high-quality care and support to our service user.
Requirements
  • 3 months previous care experience.
  • Medication Administration.
  • Personal Care.
  • Moving and Handling.
  • Pet Friendly.
Desirable Skills
  • Tracheostomy Care.
  • Spinal Injury Awareness.
  • Ventilation Care.
  • Suctioning.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive pay rate of £13.50 per hour (£135 approx. per 10-hour shift) for weeknights, £14.00 per hour (£140 approx. per 10-hour shift) for weekends, and £16.00 per hour (£160 approx. per 10-hour shift) for bank holidays. We also offer full clinical training and a supportive work environment.
