Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our dynamic HR team at Reed. As an ER Specialist, you will provide expert advice and support on a wide range of employee relations issues, including disciplinary matters, grievances, absence management, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment legislation.
  • Lead investigations into complex ER cases, ensuring a fair and consistent approach in line with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders, including HR colleagues, managers, and employees, to facilitate effective ER solutions.
  • Deliver training and coaching to line managers on ER processes and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with current employment legislation and ensure all ER activities are compliant with legal standards.
  • Collaborate with the wider HR team to develop and implement ER policies and procedures that support the organisation's objectives and values.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an ER Specialist or in a similar role within HR.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and best practices in employee relations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience conducting thorough investigations and producing detailed reports.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.
