About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Blue Arrow. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our food production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and presenting food to the highest standards.
  • Manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent food quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement new food concepts and menus, working closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff.
  • Monitor and control stock levels, production costs, and portion control to achieve budget targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including HACCP, COSHH, and Food Safety.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen, and encourage others to do the same.
  • Attend training sessions and courses as required to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in a large-scale kitchen operation.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations, including HACCP, COSHH, and Food Safety.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
