As a key player in our Food Manufacturing sector, the Food Production Supervisor will provide essential leadership and support to our production teams at the Fresh Kitchen (Sysco) facility in Bicester. This role is integral to ensuring operational excellence and compliance with industry standards.

The Food Production Supervisor will engage in a variety of operational tasks, emphasizing a hands-on approach. Candidates should demonstrate high standards and lead by example, sharing their expertise in food production while adhering to food safety regulations, HACCP, and BRC principles. This position offers a dynamic environment where the supervisor will contribute to achieving exceptional service and fostering a positive, safe workplace culture.

In this customer-facing role, the successful candidate will proactively address daily inquiries and escalate issues to the technical and operations managers as necessary. This position also involves supporting the leadership team with product trials, organoleptic and microbiological testing, and participating in the development of new product lines.

To excel in this role, candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess strong observational skills. Success hinges on accuracy and clarity, maintaining a solutions-oriented mindset while ensuring compliance with specifications against the production plan for customer, legislative, and food safety requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with IT proficiency, are essential for providing regular production data and performance reports to support business management and product costing.
