Food Production Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Food Production Operative to join our team at Fresh Direct. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for handling, prepping, and weighing ingredients ready for manufacture.
Key Responsibilities- Follow recipes to cook ingredients in various methods, including in a brat pan, oven, or large kettle.
- Perform physical manual stirring and mixing as required.
- Lift, bend, stretch, and stand for extended periods, depending on the area allocated.
- Ensure production areas are always clean and presentable, adopting a 'clean as you go' approach.
- Support daily/weekly/monthly stock takes and maintain accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with the team to follow the daily/weekly production plan and adhere to production systems, procedures, and policies.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Good powers of concentration and observation, with an ability to pay attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to quality, legality, and safety of the food manufactured.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
