Teaching Assistant - Reception

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Education Support Professional to join our team at A-Rec Education as a full-time Classroom Assistant - Primary to work within our Reception department.

This role offers a unique opportunity to provide general classroom support as well as working one-on-one with students, utilizing your skills and experience to make a positive impact on their educational journey.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the teacher in creating a conducive learning environment, assisting with lesson planning, and providing individualized support to students who require additional help.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to join our team and contribute to the academic success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general classroom support to the teacher and students
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation
  • Work one-on-one with students who require additional support
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents

Requirements:

  • Level 2/Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification in supporting teaching and learning
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a classroom setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patience, creativity, and a patient approach
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
