Job Title: Principal Instruments Designer

We are seeking a seasoned senior or principal instrument designer from a petrochemical or oil & gas background to join our team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be proficient in conceptual, FEED & detailed design on AutoCAD 3, comfortable mentoring & training junior design personnel as well as working across multi-discipline design disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct site surveys to gather information and data.
  2. Produce high-quality drawings for scope design and implementation within work packs.
  3. Create Single Line and Schematic Diagrams, Interconnection Diagrams, Termination Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams, Lighting & Small Power Layouts, Distribution Board Schedules, Hazardous Area Layouts, Cable Schedules, and Material Take Off.
Requirements:
  1. HNC/HND in instrumentation engineering.
  2. Significant UK North Sea Oil and Gas experience using AutoCAD and ideally AutoCAD P3D.
  3. Applicants must have zero visa restrictions.
  4. The position will be based primarily in Glasgow, so applicants within a reasonable daily commute are preferable.
