Senior Instrument Designer Opportunity

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrument Designer to join our team on a minimum 12-month contract duration. The successful candidate will be based in our Glasgow office and will work on various projects across our portfolio of clients.

About the Role:

  • Minimum HNC in Instrument Engineering or related subject
  • Experience with working on projects for the Energy, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, and Refining Sectors
  • Experience with working within a project team as a Senior C&I designer and on C&I teams across a range of industry sectors
  • Self-motivated team player with minimal supervision
  • Experience with development of Instrument Design deliverables
  • Good understanding of applicable international codes and standards
  • High level of competency with AutoCAD 2D and AVEVA PDMS E3D software
  • Experience with managing, checking, and delivering various Instrument Design deliverables
  • Strong understanding of plant design and equipment layout
  • Liaising with other disciplines as required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and governance of Instrument workpacks for high-value engineering centre
  • Development of Instrument Design deliverables as required on a project-by-project basis
  • Collaboration with other discipline design groups to progress a joined-up plant design
