We are thrilled to announce a unique opportunity for a Principal Security Lead within our organization. This pivotal role involves collaborating with our IT operations, project management, and architectural teams to provide expert advice and design security frameworks for various initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Spearheading technical security engagements with programs, architects, and IT operations, serving as the subject matter expert for designated projects and initiatives.
- Collaborating with solution architects and project teams to create guidance and designs (both high-level and low-level) that align with overall solution architectures.
- Proposing appropriate security controls that balance best practices, information security standards, and business objectives, tailored for a dynamic retail setting.
- Overseeing the implementation of security controls across projects, supporting the overarching technology and information security vision while embracing modern operational methodologies.
- Partnering with other IT and information security leaders to identify optimal solutions for the Currys business, facilitating the integration of on-premise systems with cloud technologies.
- Assisting in the financial assessment of new security components.
- Making informed decisions regarding the technologies and tools necessary, while adhering to established design principles and patterns.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience in reviewing, designing, implementing, and maintaining security toolsets within a complex enterprise environment.
- Proven track record in supporting IT transformation efforts, particularly in migrating legacy infrastructure to contemporary cloud environments.
- In-depth understanding of strategic IT and security solutions applicable to large organizations.
- Strong grasp of identity access solutions, network security components, and technical security best practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of core technical security elements, including WAF, CASB, identity protocols (SAML/OpenID/OAUTH), anti-malware solutions, and SIEM.
- Proficient in the Microsoft security portfolio, especially concerning MS Azure and Microsoft 365 offerings.
- Experienced in adapting security controls for hybrid environments that encompass both on-premise and cloud-based solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Ability to articulate and justify suitable security controls for business solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Competent in producing written designs and evaluating supplier-generated designs.
