Job Title: School Improvement Lead Assistant Principal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Improvement Lead Assistant Principal to join our team at Central Region Schools Trust. As a key member of our Education and Standards Team, you will play a vital role in driving school improvement and ensuring outstanding outcomes for our students.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading large secondary departments, with a strong focus on curriculum development and assessment. You will be responsible for supporting the development of KS3 core subject areas and leading on the Trust's Reading Strategy, with a focus on secondary reading. You will also be expected to travel regularly to our schools to meet the requirements of the role.

We are looking for a candidate who has experience of primary and secondary EBACC curriculums and can demonstrate a strong understanding of school improvement principles. You will be a collaborative leader who can work effectively with colleagues across the Trust to drive school improvement and achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of KS3 core subject areas, including curriculum design and assessment
  • Develop and implement the Trust's Reading Strategy, with a focus on secondary reading
  • Travel regularly to our schools to meet the requirements of the role
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust to drive school improvement and achieve our goals
  • Contribute to the development of school improvement plans and strategies
