Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain effective relationships with the construction team, client, and supply chain to ensure seamless communication on health, safety, and wellbeing matters.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of our health, safety, and wellbeing management system, aligning with contractual requirements and ISO 45001 standards.
- Liaise with external bodies as necessary to address health, safety, and wellbeing concerns.
- Identify and mitigate health, safety, and wellbeing risks throughout the project lifecycle, with a focus on designing out risks.
- Lead on health, safety, and wellbeing strategies and champion a positive organisational culture to achieve world-class performance.
- Communicate and promote health, safety, and wellbeing plans, policies, procedures, and initiatives across the supply chain.
- Monitor and measure health, safety, and wellbeing performance in line with client contractual requirements, including trend analysis.
- Promote the company vision and values in all interactions with employees, clients, and external contacts.
- Conduct high-quality inspections and audits to identify opportunities for improved operational performance.
- Lead and participate in accident investigations, ensuring robust findings and meaningful remedial actions.
- Proven experience working as a Health and Safety Advisor on infrastructure projects.
- Thorough knowledge of OHSAS 45001 standards.
- Valid membership of IOSH.
- Able to deliver internal health and safety management courses.
- Able to advise on health and safety issues on a day-to-day basis on site.
- Able to conduct standard accident investigations on site.
- Able to write site inspection reports and audit reports.
