About the Role

Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join their team in Leeds. As a leading Structural and Civil Engineering design consultancy, they offer a unique opportunity for career development in a company that values its staff as key to its long-term success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce site appraisals, strategy, and conceptual layouts/master planning for drainage and highways infrastructure.
  • Develop earthworks cut and fill concepts and detailed modeling.
  • Liaise with Water Companies, Local Authorities, and the EA to agree drainage strategies and negotiate discharges from development sites.
  • Design and detail non-major highways and negotiate works (Section 38, Section 278 works, etc.).
  • Use AutoCAD, Civil3D, Causeway Flow software, and other relevant tools.
  • Design and detail private and adoptable FW and SW drainage, including attenuation facilities, ponds, tanks, swales, and SUDS.
  • Perform drainage hydraulic modeling using Microdrainage (Windes Package).
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working for a UK-based civil engineering consultancy.
  • Proven track record in managing and exceeding clients' expectations.
