Job Description

**Job Title:** IT Helpdesk Analyst

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Helpdesk Analyst to join our team at South Oxfordshire District Council. As an IT Helpdesk Analyst, you will be responsible for providing first-line support to users of our business applications, investigating and resolving technical issues, and documenting fixes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing first-line support for resolving application issues, ensuring timely and accurate communication in line with service level agreements.
  • Analysing, diagnosing and resolving technical and system issues in accordance with the councils' Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes.
  • Specifying, implementing, installing, and configuring new third-party line of business applications to ensure that the solutions meet the needs of the service area.
  • Writing and maintaining technical documentation in accordance with the councils' Information Management standards.

Requirements:

  • ITIL Foundation qualification and demonstrable awareness of ITIL best practice.
  • Extensive experience of supporting digital services in a large organisation and providing first-line support to complete incidents and requests effectively and to the users' satisfaction.
