Job Details

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team of cleaners in Schools and Nurseries across Cupar and St Andrews. As a casual cleaner, you will play a vital role in ensuring our educational facilities are clean and safe for pupils and staff.

As a casual cleaner, you will work on a flexible schedule, covering for annual leave and absence as required. You will mainly work between 3pm and 8pm, Monday to Friday. In return, you will receive a competitive rate of pay, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

Our benefits package includes:

  • We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £12.00 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
  • Pay is every 4 weeks in arrears for casual posts.

  • Casual staff receive payments in lieu of annual leave for hours worked.

This role is about making a difference in the lives of our pupils and staff by ensuring they have a clean and safe environment to work and learn in. No previous experience is required, as on-the-job training is provided, working towards The Cleaning Operatives Proficiency Certificate.

The Person

You will be required to attend Induction Training before starting in post.

Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
