About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in North London. As a SEN TA, you will play a vital role in supporting students with various SEMH-related needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Mental Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide social, emotional, and cognitive support to students with SEN
  • Liaise with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider community professionals to ensure students are on track
  • Support the team in creating a progressive and welcoming learning environment
  • Work with students in various year groups with learning disabilities

Requirements:

  • A degree in a related field
  • Prior experience working with students (ideal but not essential)
  • Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Empathetic, proactive, and ambitious
