Job Title: Special Needs Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Teacher to join our team at an "Outstanding" Ofsted rated school in Barnet. As a Special Needs Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with school policy and schemes of work.
  • Provide regular assessment and feedback to promote progress and development.
  • Build positive relationships with Teaching Assistants to create an outstanding and inspiring learning environment.
  • Participate in departmental and staff meetings to share best practice and ideas.

Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Enhanced child DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) on the Update Service
  • Understanding of different types of SEN and effective teaching methods
  • Strong subject knowledge with the ability to teach engaging and informative lessons
  • Passion for education and a commitment to allowing young people to reach their full potential
  • Positive, consistent, and proactive behaviour management skills
  • Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students
  • Resilient and positive nature
  • Experience with SEN is beneficial but not essential
