Job Title: HR Business Partner

We are currently supporting a university in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a HR Business Partner on a temporary to permanent basis.

The position offers hybrid working (3 days working from home) and is paying £35-£45ph depending on experience.

As a HR Business Partner, you will work in partnership with the senior management of the estates and facilities function & other professional advisers to develop and deliver a strategic and operational HR plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify risks and develop action plans for assigned faculties/directorates and work collaboratively with other HRBPs to identify alignment of risks with other areas
  • Deliver high-level and non-routine professional advice and guidance to senior managers in the assigned area
  • Support the ER team with complex and/or high-risk cases, including investigations, appeals, implementation of legal advice and employment tribunal claims
  • Identify HR service improvement opportunities within HR operations and, in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team and other Business Partners

Requirements:

  • Experience of providing advice and guidance to managers
  • Working knowledge of job evaluation
  • Experience of talent management and developing complex succession management plans
  • Project management skills with experience of successfully developing and managing complex change programmes and projects

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Good IT skills, including self-reliance in MS Office applications
