Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Kier Group, specializing in Major Projects. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing large and complex subcontract packages, ensuring timely preparation of reliable cost reports, and optimizing cash flow.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial Management: Take full commercial responsibility for large and complex subcontract packages, from tender to final account.
- Subcontractor Management: Commercially manage subcontractors, including processing payments, obtaining final account agreements, and resolving disputed issues by negotiation.
- Cash Flow Management: Ensure timely production of applications for payments, monitor cash flow, and optimize payments to ensure timely receipt.
- Change and Risk Management: Manage change and risk processes within works packages and support the wider project commercial team with contract notices.
- Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the production of monthly/quarterly reports, providing commercial input, including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team.
- Education: Educated to degree level or have equivalent experience within a similar role.
- Contract Knowledge: Working knowledge and experience of ECC NEC4 contracts.
- IT Skills: Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Driving License: Full valid driving license.
