Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Exceptional Training Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a highly-regarded mainstream secondary school in Southwark, South London. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside specialist teachers, therapists, and psychologists to support students with a range of needs, including speech and language, communication, social, and autism.

About the Role:
  • Support students with various needs, including speech and language, communication, social, and autism
  • Work closely with specialist teachers, therapists, and psychologists to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Participate in specialist interventions, such as Lego Therapy, Speech and Language, and Zones of Regulation
  • Receive comprehensive training and support from day one

Requirements:
  • Graduate with a 1st Class or 2:1 degree from a reputable university
  • Good A-Levels and GCSEs, including English at GCSE
  • Previous experience supporting children, young people, or adolescents, either through tutoring, nannying, babysitting, volunteering, or personal experience
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with barriers to learning
  • An inquisitive, warm, and nurturing personality
