Job Summary:

Marks Sattin Executive Search is working with a successful international, PE-backed tech-enabled professional services business based in the West Midlands. This company has experienced significant organic and inorganic growth through acquisitions via an impressive buy and build platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure financial excellence and execute due diligence for potential acquisitions.
  • Provide skilled financial leadership, develop and execute the business's financial strategy, and offer accurate financial projections to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support the CEO and management team in developing and delivering the business plan while leading the finance and operations department.
  • Play a key role in professionalising the business by implementing controls, processes, and procedures to support growth.
  • Lead an active M&A and investment strategy to drive the continued growth of the business by identifying, analysing, and negotiating opportunities and ensuring top-level execution.

Requirements:

  • Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA), preferably chartered.
  • Experience being a CFO in a PE-backed business with a strong track record in a buy and build environment.
  • A track record of implementing and improving accounting systems, processes, and management information and financial reporting.
  • Experience of buy and build/M&A with a thorough understanding of financial due diligence for acquisitions, and potential risks and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to operate at pace and drive change.
