As a Principal Engineer specializing in Safety-Critical Software, you will play a pivotal role in a dynamic team that guides clients in the development and validation of safety-critical software systems and programmable technologies. Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead safety-critical software teams, providing direction for consultancy and engineering services across various sectors.
  • Guide clients in the development and verification of safety-critical software and programmable systems, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Influence technical strategies and assist teams in defining and executing delivery plans to address client challenges effectively.
  • Collaborate with project and bid managers to optimize time, cost, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional development and competency.
  • Work alongside the technical assurance team to uphold the quality of deliverables in line with our high professional standards.
  • Support market sales teams in securing new project bids.
Qualifications:

Essential:
  • A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Chartered status or progress towards it.
  • Expertise in the design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software, particularly in safety-critical environments.
  • Familiarity with safety and mission-critical industry standards such as IEC 61508, DO-178C, and others.
  • Experience in developing and assuring Software, Programmable Logic Devices (PLD), and Complex Electronic Hardware (CEH) Systems.
