This role will deliver the feasibility assessment, risk management, planning, and implementation of Innovation projects from design concept through to product launch, including compliance with our sustainability commitments and legal obligations.

You will bring knowledge of new designs, materials, finishes, and formats, along with competitor benchmarking into the wider business, which will help build our brand strategy and growth agenda.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the feasibility assessment, risk management, planning, and implementation of Innovation projects
  • Bring knowledge of new designs, materials, finishes, and formats into the wider business
  • Identify packaging solutions and technologies to be shared across R&D and commercial teams
  • Provide functional expertise to projects in our Stage & Gate process
  • Work with Procurement, Production, and Marketing teams to provide innovative and sustainable solutions to our brands
Requirements
  • Education to degree level or equivalent, in Packaging, Science, or Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in a packaging team within a FMCG business
  • Experience of leading and working in cross-functional project teams
  • Passion for innovation, consumer experience, and brand building
  • Practical knowledge of sustainable packaging solutions
  • Sound knowledge of packaging material manufacture, liquid filling technologies, bottle labelling, multipacking, and palletisation within the drinks industry
  • Knowledge and operation of GFSI, BRC, HACCP, and other quality management systems
