Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Classroom Support Professional to join our team at Charles Darwin Primary. The successful candidate will provide support to our teaching staff and students, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in the delivery of lessons and activities, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized learning plans, promoting student progress and achievement.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with special educational needs, using a range of strategies to enhance their learning and engagement.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to plan and deliver interventions, promoting student progress and achievement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills, with experience of working with students with special educational needs.
  • Experience of supporting students with high needs, including those with behavior difficulties.
  • Ability to use a range of technology to support learning, including educational software and digital tools.
  • Experience of leading interventions to support student learning, including phonics and literacy programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
