About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist Specialist to join our scientific team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the delivery of Immunology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist knowledge and assistance to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients within their area of responsibility.
  • Work with senior staff to support the integration of Immunology into Pathology from a staff, IT and technological perspective.
  • Participate in the training and development of new, trainee or support staff.
  • Contribute to the development of research and development within the service.
Requirements
  • HCPC Registered
  • Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
  • IBMS accredited Biomedical science degree, registration portfolio & a specialist portfolio.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Attendance at the leadership and development and improvement programme
  • MSc Biomedical Science
Knowledge and Experience
  • Laboratory techniques and Biomedical science relevant to Immunology.
  • Relevant legislation and health and safety requirements.
  • Work in an accredited pathology laboratory.
