About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our scientific team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will play a key role in the delivery of services provided by Immunology as part of the Tees Valley Pathology service.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Rotating through all sections within the chosen department to gain a wide range of experience
  • Leading the team in achieving daily workload targets, requiring effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Working efficiently as part of a team and prioritizing work to meet strict deadlines
  • Analyzing pathology specimens and providing technically accurate results
  • Providing specialist knowledge and assistance to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients within their area of responsibility

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • HCPC registration
  • Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
  • IBMS accredited Biomedical science degree, registration portfolio & a specialist portfolio
