Role Purpose/Objective:

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll practices and procedures, as well as generalist accounting skills to ensure the integrity of financial records.

  • Process payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, overtime, deductions, and bonuses.
  • Maintain and be the main user of the external payroll bureau system.
  • Ensure accurate and timely administration of monthly payrolls.
  • Respond to inquiries related to payroll processes and procedures.
  • Collate additional payroll information, such as overtime and other one-off charges or payments.
  • Maintain internal systems for payroll and ensure all payroll changes are recorded accurately.
  • Liaise with managers to ensure additional information is received in good time and changes to pay are authorized at the appropriate level before submission to our external payroll provider.
  • Provide up-to-date reports on payroll changes to our external payroll providers each month.

Requirements:

  • Strong generalist accounting skills.
  • Experience with high volume data entry and analysis.
  • Broad knowledge of payroll practices and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to respond to payroll-related inquiries effectively.
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll and benefits.
