Job Title: Apprenticeship Quality Coordinator

About the Role:

Eurofins Scientific is a leading international life sciences company, providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries. As an Apprenticeship Quality Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System and ensuring the maintenance and extension of all accreditations at a local level.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain the document control system for site-specific documentation.
  2. Prepare and amend Quality documentation as required.
  3. Investigate and resolve customer complaint investigations and client queries in a timely manner.
  4. Ensure all equipment records, calibration, and monitoring are carried out by relevant laboratory staff and that appropriate records are maintained.
  5. Conduct Quality inductions for new staff and ensure they are trained and aware of their responsibilities in respect of Quality Management Systems.
  6. Assist with training of laboratory staff in internal auditing, non-conforming work investigation, and root cause analysis.
  7. Ensure Internal Quality Control is maintained and acceptable.
  8. Collate information and reports and carry out trend analysis for the Annual Management Review meeting.
  9. Raise non-conforming work issues related to Quality and investigate using root cause analysis where assigned.
  10. Provide the monthly Quality KPI report to the site management, the Director of Technical and Quality, and the Technical and Group Microbiology Quality Managers.
  11. Gather pre and post-audit information for external audits and submit data to the accreditation/certification body.
  12. Escalate issues affecting Quality performance to Group Quality Managers and Director of Technical and Quality.

Requirements:

  • Degree in chemistry/microbiology or related discipline and relevant experience of quality systems.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Food Microbiology/Chemistry laboratories accredited to ISO17025/RSA.
  • 'Can do' attitude and be able to deliver change through people management skills.
