Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for effectively managing construction projects, identifying defects, and bringing matters to a resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee larger customer service projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with customers and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage all aspects of projects personally, including ensuring all statutory records are maintained and accident and incident reporting procedures are followed.
  • Assess sites prior to the start of the working day, responding to emergencies and addressing areas of risk.
  • Regularly walk all areas of the site to observe health and safety standards and take remedial action as necessary.
  • Ensure all trades are using personal protective equipment and working in a safe environment and manner.
  • Attend health and safety and other training courses as required by the company.
  • Ensure the site is secure at the end of each day and that all plant is inspected on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Include health and safety and environment on the agenda for all site team meetings and keep the health and safety compendium up to date.
  • Accompany health and safety advisors during site visits and undertake remedial action as necessary.
  • Review and approve risk assessments and method statements for all operations and ensure all work is in accordance with How To Build Safely and method statements.
  • Deliver quality inductions to all sub-contractors on site to ensure the required quality standards are met.
  • Update the Customer Service Director weekly on project progress.
  • Ensure all materials are checked for damage and meet the required quality standards.
  • Ensure sub-contractors adhere to protection guidelines as stated in the site protection manual and trade specification.
  • Ensure all sub-contractors receive purchase orders before any works commence to ensure payment is authorized correctly.
  • Manage all staff on site to ensure adherence to the waste policy.
