Security Officer

We are seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at the Port of Dover. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and personnel.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting patrols across the site to identify and mitigate potential security threats
- Carrying out thorough vehicle searches and personal body searches
- Monitoring fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV systems
- Responding to suspicious activity and reporting incidents to the Port of Dover Police
- Working to ensure compliance with ISPS code requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid SIA Licence (training will be provided for the right candidates)
- A driving licence (desirable)
- 5-year checkable employment history
- Ability to work days, nights, and weekends
- Physical fitness to stand for long periods and work in all weather conditions
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly manner
