Security Officer

We are seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at the Port of Dover. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and personnel.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting patrols across the site to identify and mitigate potential security threats
- Performing thorough vehicle searches and personal body searches
- Operating X-Ray and security equipment
- Monitoring fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV systems
- Responding to suspicious activity and reporting incidents to the Port of Dover Police
As a Security Officer, you will be required to work a minimum of 48 hours per month, including days, nights, and weekends. You will also be expected to stand for long periods and work in all weather conditions.
Essential SkillsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid SIA Licence (training will be provided for the right candidates)
- A driving licence (desirable)
- 5-year checkable employment history
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
