About the Role:


As part of our growth strategy, Cityscape is seeking a Bid Manager with a solid background in the civil engineering infrastructure domain.

In this pivotal role, you will report to the Head of Bid Management, overseeing the bid response process and ensuring that submission documents align with tender requirements and budgetary constraints.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the bid submission process, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Formulate a bid strategy and win plan to enhance the likelihood of securing projects at commercially viable rates.
  • Coordinate bid responses, including reviewing and drafting bid text as necessary.
  • Develop and manage the bid programme, identifying critical deadlines and deliverables.
  • Facilitate the review of submissions to meet client specifications.
  • Create and oversee presentation materials.
  • Manage the tender programme effectively.
  • Participate in project briefings and meetings throughout the tender process.
  • Address any pre-construction design needs and propose alternative solutions as required.
  • Conduct reviews of both successful and unsuccessful submissions to foster continuous improvement.


As a Bid Manager at Cityscape, you will join a dedicated and experienced team that values collaboration and innovation.

Working alongside other Bid Managers, Coordinators, and Writers, you will engage closely with the Estimating team, gaining insights from professionals with extensive engineering backgrounds.

The Pre-Construction team is known for its supportive and collegial atmosphere, making it an ideal environment for professionals looking to contribute fresh perspectives.



Compensation and Benefits:


This permanent position offers a competitive salary range, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes a company vehicle or allowance, private healthcare, 25 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays), and an 8% employer pension contribution.


Candidate Requirements:


To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Bid Manager within a Tier One main contractor in the civil engineering infrastructure sector.

This role is office-based, and candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the office.

Stability in employment history is essential for consideration.
