Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Junior Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our solar PV systems. Under the guidance of senior engineers, you will assist in installation support, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair system issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform visual inspections, cleaning, and report to the management team
  • Carry out meter readings and sensor cleaning for the operation of PV systems
  • Routine maintenance activities on module mounting systems, fence, and gates, inverter, and transformer stations (excluding equipment)
  • Routine maintenance activities on monitoring and communication equipment (data logger, routers, sensors, etc.)
  • Routine maintenance activities on security system devices (cameras, barriers, etc.)
  • Execute corrective measures as a first response to identify issues on PV systems
  • Engage and manage subcontractors
  • Stock management
  • Perform reactive and corrective maintenance activities, managing subcontractors and controlling quality of activities performed
  • Execute preventative and corrective activities of electrical systems under supervision
  • Support with the installation of PV modules, wiring, and inverters
Requirements
  • Electrical experience, 2 years preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • A willingness to learn and take direction from experienced engineers
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems
  • Positive attitude to work and passion for the industry
  • Experience in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems for industrial sites
  • Experience in the photovoltaic business would be a plus but not essential
  • Good knowledge of MS office tools
  • Valid driving license
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player
  • CSCS card holder
  • NVQ level 1 or 2 preferred but not essential
