Job Summary

The Ministry of Defence is seeking a highly skilled individual to fill the role of Training Validation and Assurance Officer within the Army Aviation Centre (AACen) at Middle Wallop. This position is responsible for the management of all validation, assessment, and assurance for all courses delivered at the AACen.

The successful candidate will work alongside civilian and military staff within a professional environment, promoting continuous improvement across all activity. This role is ideal for a high-reaching individual looking to expand and refine their skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, review, and maintain question banks and summative assessments
  • Produce summative assessments via Virtual and E-Learning platforms
  • Course Validation
  • Act as the focal point for the competence award process
  • Liaise with HQ AAC Training Development Team (TDT), other schools, and external agencies on Validation, Assessment, and Assurance matters
  • Liaise with Course Design personnel
  • Liaise with training delivery departments to ensure the effective completion of the course assessment process via the course training plan
  • Attend Training Working Groups, Symposia, and Exhibitions commensurate with role and as determined by Senior Executive Officer Training Design Innovation and Validation
  • Line management responsibilities for X1 EO Validation
  • Any other duties commensurate with grade and experience as directed by Line Manager
Requirements
  • Strong engagement skills
  • Clear communication and excellent organisational skills
  • Candidates must be comfortable with uncertainty and change and take the initiative
  • Proficient using MS Office, specifically MS Word, Excel, and Teams
