Position Overview

The Ministry of Defence is looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to fill the role of Procurement Officer within the Army's Commercial Team in Northern Ireland. This position plays a crucial role in the procurement process, directly impacting the operational capabilities of the British military.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement of assigned requirements, ensuring effective oversight from initial definition through to contract award.
  • Collaborate with Army customers to define needs and establish routes to market, ensuring all necessary approvals are secured.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to facilitate smooth procurement processes.
  • Stay informed on procurement policies and practices, ensuring compliance with the latest regulations and tools.
  • Contribute to the overall objectives of the Army Commercial Team while functioning independently in a forward-deployed environment.

Essential Qualifications

  • CIPS Level 4 qualification is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in procurement processes and contract management.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with MOD Practitioner Commercial Licence Assessment.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to provide commercial advice and guidance to project teams and customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering effective solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive working relationships.
