About the Role:

As the Lead Care Manager, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring a team of caregivers to provide exceptional care and support to young people with learning disabilities and complex needs. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact by setting up a brand new care setting and establishing its practices from the beginning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation, implementation, and monitoring of personalized care plans, working closely with external professionals, agencies, and families.
  • Work hand-in-hand with your team to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those in your care.
  • Empower your team to foster independence in both residential settings and the wider community, conducting performance reviews and providing regular supervision.
  • Support your team in organizing engaging activities, trips, and visits that inspire and enrich the lives of the young people you support.

Requirements:

  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – showcasing your leadership capabilities.
  • Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – with a willingness to achieve your Level 5 QCF within 2 years if you haven't already.
  • At Least 2 Years of Management/Supervisory Experience in a care setting within the past 5 years – you've got the experience we need.
  • Proven Expertise in Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs – you understand the challenges and rewards of working with these incredible individuals.
  • Up-to-Date Knowledge of Learning Disabilities and Person-Centered Planning – you're always learning and applying the latest best practices.
