RSK Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Design Manager to lead our engineering team within the @one Alliance. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure projects, shaping the future of water management.

As the Senior Design Manager for Water Recycling West, you will be responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of capital investment projects. These projects encompass essential elements such as Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs), Sustainable Urban Drainage (SUDs), and enhancements to Sewerage Treatment Works.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Develop the Engineering Team: Effectively plan and allocate resources, recruit and mentor talented individuals, ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Drive Innovation and Sustainability: Champion the integration of cutting-edge digital technologies and develop sustainable design solutions that minimize carbon footprint and protect natural capital. Your expertise will align with PAS 2080 principles.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Act as the CDM Principal Designer, fostering a robust health, safety, and welfare culture within the team. You will be responsible for ensuring all design activities adhere to strict safety and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate and Influence: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, driving collaborative efforts to achieve project objectives.
  • Deliver Excellence: Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Your Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will possess a degree in Engineering, ideally with Chartered Engineer status. You will have extensive experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams on complex capital projects. Your proven ability to fulfill the responsibilities of a CDM Principal Designer is essential for ensuring safety and compliance across all design activities.
