One YMCA is seeking a dedicated Youth Development Specialist to join our Airplay program at RAF Shawbury. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of children and young people aged 5-18, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities and programs.

As a Youth Development Specialist, you will lead a team of passionate individuals in delivering dynamic youth and play work sessions. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Leading and coordinating youth work sessions on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings during term time.
  • Collaborating with the Airplay staff team, young people, and the local RAF Community Support team to develop a comprehensive holiday program that caters to the needs of the community.
  • Ensuring a safe and supportive environment where young people can thrive and explore their potential.

This is a casual role with a guaranteed minimum of 7.5 hours per week for an initial three-month period. After this period, hours will be offered on an ad hoc basis. Planning, preparation, and administrative tasks can be arranged flexibly in consultation with your line manager.
