About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Student Support Specialist to join our team at Randstad. As a Specialist Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting autistic students studying at universities and colleges in Coventry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students to help them understand academic requirements and develop essential skills such as time management, organization, and stress management.
  • Assist students in breaking down tasks, achieving a balance between study and daily life, and preparing for new experiences.
  • Build on students' confidence and strengths to become independent learners.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to undergraduate degree level (minimum level 6) and extensive training in adult autism.
  • Experience of working with autistic clients and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify ways of helping students build on their learning strengths while maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship.
  • Punctuality, reliability, and good organizational skills.
