Job Title: Community Fundraising Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Community Fundraising Administrator to join our team at Transformation Unit. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our fundraising strategy and promoting our charity's activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Fundraising and Partnerships Manager in delivering our fundraising strategy, including responding to fundraising enquiries, supporting people wishing to fundraise, and banking and processing donations.
  • Assist with developing a regular programme of supporter communications, including emails, letters, and social media posts.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support, including processing orders and requisitions, and managing our event and fundraising calendar.
  • Support seasonal activity, ward visits, cheque presentations, and present giving.
  • Administer the staff lottery and lead on initiatives such as the NHS Big Tea and The Big Christmas Cake Break.
  • Assist with bucket collections, including coordinating charity volunteers.
  • Support the administration, organization, and promotion of third-party events.
  • Provide reporting on events, including return on investment.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 diploma or equivalent, or equivalent knowledge gained through relevant experience.
  • Minimum of five GCSEs grades C and above, including maths and English.
  • Relevant administrative and/or customer care experience.
  • Relevant experience engaging with staff and the public in a busy environment.
  • Ability to use the internet, databases, and other research sources to find information and intelligence.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Previous administrative and customer care experience, dealing with people face-to-face, over email, and phone.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to plan and organize own workload.
  • Ability to manage under pressure, work to tight deadlines, and excellent time management.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer care skills and the ability to respond sensitively to supporters, fundraisers, and donors.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, and experience of using Canva to create social media posts, screensavers, posters, and marketing materials.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in an effective manner.
  • Able to work flexibly and travel throughout Torbay and South Devon between sites within local communities.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Charity/marketing qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience organizing and delivering fundraising activities.
  • Experience organizing and delivering events.
  • Experience working with a CRM database.
  • Experience of handling cash and working within clear financial procedures.
  • Working with volunteers.
  • Knowledge of charity fundraising techniques and charity legislation.
  • A good working knowledge of fundraising codes of practice.
  • Ability to think creatively.
