Position Overview:
Lancashire County Council is excited to announce a remarkable opportunity to become part of our Family Intensive Support Team as a Family Assistance Specialist.
We are looking to fill two full-time positions for experienced support professionals who possess a strong background in providing intensive family support, early intervention, and targeted assistance.
As frontline operational staff within our 'Family Intensive Support' (FIS) team, you will engage with families in various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children, young individuals, and their families facing unmet needs, focusing on intensive support.
- Conduct thorough assessments of needs in accordance with established frameworks.
- Assume the 'Lead Professional' role when necessary, coordinating multi-agency support for families.
- Develop and implement SMART action plans aimed at addressing identified needs.
- Utilize agreed tools to evaluate progress towards meaningful and lasting change.
- Maintain comprehensive records of your work within designated management information systems.
- Report to a Senior Family Support Worker for guidance and support.
Flexibility: This role requires adaptability, with potential evening, early morning, and weekend commitments to effectively support families.
