We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Counsellor and Wellbeing Adviser to join our Student Services team at Carshalton College.

The successful candidate will provide individual and group counselling, workshops, and drop-in services to support students' mental health and wellbeing.

Collaborating with our support services, the post holder will ensure a holistic approach to wellbeing, maintaining confidential records, adhering to safeguarding policies, and engaging in continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality counselling services to students, including individual and group sessions, workshops, and drop-in services.
  • Collaborate with support services to ensure a comprehensive approach to student wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions.
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to maintain expertise and stay up-to-date with best practices.
Requirements
  • Registered professional with substantial counselling experience, particularly with children and young people.
  • Strong empathy, communication, and caseload management skills.
  • Qualification in Counselling at Diploma Level or higher.
  • Membership of an ethical body, such as BACP, UKCP, or NCS.
