As a Product Control Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the Firm meets all financial control and reporting obligations. You will work closely with business leaders to ensure compliance with regulations governing transactions in the financial markets.

Your Impact

As a Product Control Associate, you will become an expert in your business, assessing valuation, profit, and loss attribution, and disclosure implications of the business' positions and trades. You will work with the financial reporting team to prepare key external reports, such as earnings releases and 10Q/10K disclosures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly profit and loss analyses for the trading business.
  • Perform ongoing price verification procedures to ensure appropriate valuation of firm inventory.
  • Assess new trades for appropriate valuation, accounting treatment, and disclosure in the financial statements.
  • Become proficient in capital requirements impactful to the trading business.
  • Analyze and report the balance sheet and funding sources of the trading business.
  • Produce financial statements and/or relevant disclosures for the trading business.

Requirements

  • Qualified CA/CFA/CMA.
  • Basic industry knowledge and strong accounting knowledge. Knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Accurate and detail-oriented with sound judgment and integrity.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, tools, and utilities for business use.
  • Candidate must be proactive, enthusiastic, and team-oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
