Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at Vaughan Thomas ward, part of our Adult Inpatient Service. As a Staff Nurse, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to our patients and contribute to our Trust's journey to Outstanding Care.

Main Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the ward for a span of duty, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients and carers. You will also develop effective risk management plans and timely review of the risk management plan, identifying opportunities for positive risk taking in conjunction with the client, carers/significant others, and the ward team.

Requirements
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Skills in clinical risk assessment and management
  • Able to plan and organise the work of Health Care Assistants
